We went to Texas for our family vacation. So so hot, but it makes for good driving weather! We saw the dinosaurs at the Museum of Natural Science in Houston as well as the Shark Imax. We went to a Dave & Buster's, too. Not as fun as one would think. We toured the Capital Building in Austin. Only stayed ther overnight. We left early in the morning to drive toward Johnson City so we could climb Enchanted Rock in Fredericksburg. Well, I didn't make it to the top, but my husband and sons did. We visited Clay's aunt, too. We did some shopping, as well. Going that far West we saw alot of cactus growing around. That was interesting. It was alot of fun and I'm really glad to be back home in Louisiana. I missed Vera, my black cat. I also missed my bed and my kitchen. Traveling isn't my cup of tea. I am a home-body. But I sure did enjoy the company of my husband and sons on the trip. We're just a happy little family.

I'm glad that you at least had fun. I think the best part of vacation is the feeling of comfort when you come home. It really makes you appricate what you have more.

I agree. Coming home was the best part!
So sad. We heard of the death of Mr. Jackson on our way home through Houston. I kept wondering if it'll be one of those deaths where you remember where you were when it happened like it was for those who knew JFK.

It is my hope that I may be who I will, and that others will know me for who I am rather than for what others may say about me.

And I rise like a bird,
In the haze and the first rays touch the sky,
And the night winds die...
That is really funny that you did end up going to an HEB. (My brain goes, "HEY! You're supposed to ask 'is that a regular or a plus store!' Get it right!!!" Can we tell I was on the survay again tonight?)
