Clay and I saw Star Trek 2009 Saturday. It was awesome. Maybe even the best ST movie I've ever seen. It turned out to be an AU story which is cool. I just loved it. I ginned and clapped durning the whole thing. I can't wait for the DVD so I can watch it over and over again. It was so good.

It looks so good, I wanna see it so bad. (Too bad theater's so pricey these days. I'll probably catch it on DVD.)

It's better than i expected but it left too many unanswered questions like how can Vulcan be gone and yet in the orginal series Vulcan is still there, ancient architecture and all...

Also Spock/Uhura seriously?

Nero changed evreything the day Jim was born and waited angrily 25 years for the old Spock to return through the black hole to destroy Vulcan before his helpless eyes. The difference in this movie and all the other ST stories that deal with time travel is that they didn't slingshot around the Sun and go back in time to make everything better. They just kept the story line as is so they could make more movies and such without breaking canon. I think it is now classified as AU. As for S/U, a bit odd, but I'm glad to see Spock have a girlfriend. I guess in this alternate universe Roger Corby didn't leave for his android quest for immortality and is still married to Christine Chapel back on Earth.

It was really good. I'm not sure if I like the idea of the Alternate Universe spock/Kirk for them to make money off of, but the movie was very good.

My dad thinks it's AU as well.
It's nice to see spock have a girlfriend i just don't think it should have been Uhura.
