~Beyond Antares~
"The skies are green and glowing Where my heart is, Where my heart is, Where the scented lunar flower is growing, Somewhere beyond the stars, Beyond Antares. I'll be back Though it takes forever. Forever is just a day. Forever is just another journey. Tomorrow I'll stop along the way, And let the years go fading Where my heart is, Where my heart is, Where my love eternally is waiting, Somewhere beyond the stars, Beyond Antares." -written by Star Trek producer Gene L. Coon A Star Trek song Uhura (Nichelle Nichols) sings in the episode "Conscience of the King". This piece really has nothing to do with the song, but it's the most beautiful song I've heard her sing. And somwhere on some planet very far away Spock plays his Vulcan lyre and Uhura becomes a star-singing sprite. I made this piece in response to a contest held by *imaginism . We are to paint one of their paintings in our own style. I chose Dragon's Song [link] Star Trek and all that belongs to someone else, Paramount or Viacom, I don't know anymore. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you  the news article as well as check out the individual pieces.
